The Yoga of Spirit-Filled Christianity

When I gaze into your holiness
When I look into your loveliness
When all things that surround
become shadows in the light of you.

I worship you, I worship you.
The reason I live is to worship you.
I worship you, I worship you.
The reason I live is to worship you.

When I find the joy of reaching your heart
When my will becomes enthroned in your love
When all things that surround
become shadows in the light of you.

I worship you, I worship you.
The reason I live is to worship you.
I worship you, I worship you.
The reason I live is to worship you.

This is a typical worship song from a Spirit-filled Christian church and it describes an ecstatic experience of union with God. Yoga literally means union with God. Though religious people may often disagree about the best way to achieve that union, it is obvious that when we concentrate on our own best approach to this union, we will be less concerned about what other people are doing and more absorbed with God who is before us.
"When all things that surround become shadows in the light of you,"
describes the state of complete inner absorption on that light which is God. Let no fear-mongering theology dissuade you from that light. That is our home. That is where Christ and the other great ones reside. All true representatives of God are from the one source who is the Universal Father. There is no other. There is but one God as there is one sky over us all.
