Pilgrimage to SRF Mother Center

Along with other pilgrims, I enter the gates of Self-Realization Fellowship (SRF) International Headquarters atop Mt. Washington in Los Angeles, California. It was established in 1925 by Paramahansa Yogananda. He lived and worked here for more than twenty years.

Cool paths leading to quiet meditation spots.
A favorite meditation site is the "Temple of Leaves" where Sri Yogananda often gave classes.

Many beautiful gardens.

Many places to go deep into meditation.
The sounds of running water.

Opportunities to walk briskly
or to "Be Still."
Nature surrounds the soul.

SRF Nuns say good-bye
to the visitors.
More reluctant farewells.
